Try to keep some Runes at the start of Shackle the Unworthy if you want to spread it quickly in AoE situations. Swarming Mist Ventyr : Use it on cooldown. If you are playing with Breath of Sindragosa , you should use Swarming Mist while your breath is active in order to gain Runic Power. The amount of Runic power gained when hitting multiple targets is insane and it can really help to extend your Breath of Sindragosa.

With the new rune system I feel myself forced to I can clearly see that Blizzard is experimenting with the Death Knight class and for the moment that doesn't seem to be good. I am not happy with the 3 hit system of Bone Shield nor with the short duration of Vampiric Blood or the described rune generation.
A way it shouldn't be: reliable on procs. Cut mastery. It's not working here, Blizz. Only because of that new rune system I stopped playing my dk as a tank. I can't use attacks in a way they make sense, have to spam rune strike all the time, can't use my death strike which is an absurdum for my mastery and compared to all the other tanks which I also got dk now simply totally sucks.
